Mariame is a financial and project management professional with over 6 years’ experience in the public and private sector. She currently works as a Consultant with Deloitte Canada, where she manages financials on large, complex and agile projects. She has international experience having worked in India, Canada and in the US.
Mariame holds a business degree from McGill University with a focus on International Business, Marketing and Strategy, and actively volunteers with nonprofits organizations such as TRIEC, where she mentors new immigrants integrate into the Canadian workplace. She occasionally teaches financial literacy to youth at Junior Achievement.
Mariame supervises Global Staff and leads staff at the office of the Executive Director. She provides leadership in building strategic relations with key global organizations; supervises implementation of all global programs; manages the efficient execution of flagship projects at headquarters, and liaises with all regional directors and global consultants to ensure projects and programs are delivered on time, on budget and to the highest quality.

Artem is a research professional with two years’ experience in SME consulting. He specializes in providing financial advisory services and conducting market research. Artem is currently employed as a Research Associate with Niagara College Research & Innovation division, where he works on a number of applied research projects assisting small, medium and large sized business to solve issues related to financial analysis, data analysis and market research.
Artem holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Commerce from Niagara College in Canada and is pursuing the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is currently the 2020 CFA Level II Candidate.
Artem assists the Global Director of Progams, conducts program development analysis and provides strategic project management advise on all global projects, to ensure global programs are delivered on time, on budget and to the highest quality.
Fiifi is a development communications expert with over 10 years’ experience in administrative management, international affairs and diplomacy, engaging youth in the workings of the United Nations. He has a passion for youth empowerment and capacity building and have trained over 5000 youth in public speaking, conflict resolution, creative thinking and diplomacy as a Model United Nations trainer volunteering for several NGOs.
Fiifi currently serves as the Executive Director for Footprints Development International, a non-profit organization committed to advancing the development of Africa with a focus on the Sustainable Development Goals and equipping the youth with the relevant skills to lead as change makers in African communities. He has an extensive appreciation of international politics having participated in several conferences and workshops in Europe and the Americas.
Prior to working for Footprints, Fiifi worked with the Immigration & Admin. Team at Tullow Oil Ghana and also worked as Protocol Officer & Special Aide at the office of the Chief Justice of the Republic of Ghana. He has also held several administrative management and operations positions with both local and foreign owned companies in Ghana. Fiifi provides advice on government relations with key West African regional organizations and stakeholders.


Boatema is a Biomedical Scientist with research expertise in tuberculosis (TB). Her interests are in translating scientific findings into sustainable interventions that influence policy and advance health security, particularly in improving diagnostics and methods for pathogen detection. She has an MSc in Infectious diseases, Vaccinology & Drug Discovery, and a PhD in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Antwerp and the Medical Research Council Unit, The Gambia at London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
Her research uncovered underlying reasons for the low sensitivity of diagnostics that had large implications for TB detection in West Africa and could lead to policy changes on how TB is detected in West Africa. Her work was conducted under a study aimed at reducing TB transmission and containing its spread by increasing case detection through an Enhanced- Case-Finding approach and using models incorporating molecular data.
She has been involved in capacity building particularly in West Africa and has made contributions to building genomics and bioinformatics capacity in limited resource settings. She has also been involved in training and supervising other scientists in her field.
Ana is a healthcare professional with over 7 years of experience in public health research and consulting, particularly in international health systems. Ana has provided technical support to projects aimed to measure the financial impact of catastrophic illnesses in low- and middle-income countries and analyzed the quality of service and financial sustainability of the Colombian and Chilean health systems. She has consulted at the Pharmaceuticals and Health Technologies Group at Management Sciences for Health in projects and international workshops that look to implement pricing strategies and increase access to medicines and innovative treatments in different countries.
Ana holds an MD from Universidad de los Andes in Colombia and an MPH from the Harvard University's Chan School of Public Health.


Laetitia has an MSc in Public Health from McGill University in Canada. She was a Field Epidemiologist at the Quebec National Institute of Public Health in Montreal where she conducted descriptive studies on giardiasis and infectious disease outbreaks. She has a Bachelor's in Life Sciences from McGill University and has been involved in creating workshop content on pandemics & infectious disease. She also has experience in organizing model WHO conferences in Montreal, Canada.
Laetitia manages content development at the Center's Flagship Global Affairs Training Program in Canada.
Marina has a Hon. BSc in Neuroscience and is currently pursuing a graduate degree at Carleton University in the department of Health Sciences. Her research investigates relationships between maternal HIV infection, placenta pathology, breastmilk composition and breastfeeding practices, and infant health and neuro-development. She has clinical research experience in South Africa and has contributed to organizational efforts for scientific workshops and conferences both in Canada and abroad. She has strong interests in nutrition and global maternal, newborn and child health, and aims to build a career in global health research that prioritizes patient partnerships, knowledge translation and implementation of current research into policy.
Marina leads a research team and manages policy research analysis for the Center's Flagship Policy Research Report.


Rochelle has a BSc from the University of Toronto where she majored in Global Health and Economics with a minor in Political Science and is currently pursuing an MSc. in Epidemiology at the University of Toronto. She has strong interests in mental health and international development and has worked with development organizations in Kenya and Ecuador and with jack.org in Canada.
Rochelle conducts policy research analysis and is a contributor to the Center's Flagship Policy Research Report.
Stella has a Master of Public Health (MPH) from the University of Malaya in Malaysia, and a Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from the International Medical University. She has experience engaging with governments, foreign missions, academia, think tanks, and NGOs, and has implemented international law and policy standards concerning women's rights in Malaysia. She has also worked with UN human rights instruments such as the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) and Convention on the Elimination of all Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW).
Stella conducts policy research analysis and is a contributor to the Center's Flagship Policy Research Report.

Maame has a BA in Politics and International Relations from Lancaster University Ghana. She has worked at the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees(UNHCR) where she was involved in resettlement processing and refugee counselling. She has also worked at World Vision International and has strong interests in Research, Diplomacy,International Refugee Law, Migration, International Development and Human Rights and is a recipient of the Lancaster University Provost Award for academic excellence.

Giorgi is a student at the University of Toronto, Canada, where he is enrolled in the B.A. Economics & Political Science program. He has strong interests in public policy, foreign relations, and Canadian politics and has volunteered as a Foreign Policy Intern at the Canadian International Council (CIC), where he conducted policy research in Global Health & Diplomacy. He has also volunteered at the University of Toronto International Education Center where he led teams to plan and execute events.
Giorgi conducts academic research and supports the development and implementation of the Center's Global Affairs Training Program.
Lina has a BA in International Relations and Economics from the University of Toronto. She has experience working for the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) country office in Cambodia as well as the Cabinet Office for the Ontario provincial government. She has also worked as a foreign policy research intern for the Canadian International Council (CIC) and been heavily involved in student organizations and groups at the University of Toronto. She has interests in financing for development, international trade, sustainability, and creating clean and just economies.
Lina conducts academic research and supports the development and implementation of the Center's Global Affairs Training Program.


Theresa has a Masters’ Degree in Environment and Human Health with distinction, from the University of Exeter, England, where she was Commonwealth Scholar. She also earned a Bachelors’ degree in Biochemistry from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana. Following her Bachelors’ degree, she was involved in the funding and organization of a Health Needs Assessment project with free general health screening and in developing an online educational platform for high school students in Ghana. She volunteered at the Royal Cornwall Hospital during her Masters’ studies where she contributed to improving patient experience through interviews and reports.
Theresa conducts policy research analysis and is a contributor to the Center's Flagship Policy Research Report.
Raajia has a BSc. degree with majors in Biology and Psychology from the University of Toronto and an MSc. Degree in Global Health with speializations in Health Economics and Health Management from the McMaster University. She has been involved in women's health and economic development work in South-Africa, Malaysia and Pakistan.

Anna has an MSc in Global Health from McMaster University with a specialization in Science, Technology, and Society studies completed at Maastricht University in the Netherlands. She has conducted health systems and policy research on addressing the health gap between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples and has led a qualitative research study in Norway at the intersection of infectious diseases and migration. She is passionate about interdisciplinary research, health equity, and intersectoral collaboration to address global challenges. Prior to her master’s, she completed her Bachelor of Health Sciences at McMaster University with a specialization in Global Health. She stays actively involved in the global health sphere through initiatives such as the Canadian Coalition for Global Health Research and as an Editor with the Global Health Annual Review.
